Ramair at Performance German Day

Ramair at Performance German Day

Published by Davy Lewis on 17th Oct 2020

Last Saturday we joined thousands of German car enthusiasts at a new show at Castle Combe – Performance German Day. Based around an open pit lane format and with support from some of the biggest names in the tuning scene, it promised to be a great event – and we were not to be disappointed.

Our position in the heart of paddock one meant we had plenty of room to work with, so we decided it  was a case of go big or go home! Rather than settle for a marquee, we went for a full on race truck set-up, complete with large front deck area (perfect for watching the track action from). Inside, there was ice-cold air conditioning and even a bar, along with an executive meeting room.

Next to this we set up our marquees – one for Chris Roberts to use as a pit garage for his hard worked 135i and the other to sell products and goodie bags from. We brought along the full PRORAM pleated range and had lots of enquiries about these premium, multi-fitment cone filters. A range of cars joined us on the stand, including a cool E46 M3 converted to hand controls by our friend James Cox and our very own Golf TCR race car.

Considering this was a first event, we were mighty impressed by the trade support and the standard of cars on display. We managed to catch up with so many friends in the industry including PERON, Forge Motorsport, Awesome, RE Performance and many more.

With some fantastic drift sessions at lunchtime and an Awesome track session that included a Porsche GT3 RS, an RE Performance Huracan Performante, a 2.7 biturbo RWD Mk2 Golf, and our own track monster, Roberts in his 600bhp 1-Series, it was a real crowd pleaser.

Our man in the BMW Z4 also took out YouTuber Jamie from Officially Gassed OG, who filmed it all for an upcoming episode on his channel – look out for it soon! Also look out for a video of the full event dropping in the next week or so.

Thanks to everyone that came over to chat to us and to all the #MyRamair family who brought their cars along for the stand, and not forgetting all of the Ramair team, friends and family who lent a hand on the day.

And special mention must go to Chris Roberts (below) who drove the wheels off his BMW all day, racking up an incredible 157 miles on track! Impressive when you consider Castle Combe is only 1.85-miles per lap.

We're already looking forward to PGD 2020!
